What I do
Web design and development is what most people hire me for. But over the years the brief has grown — because building a beautiful site doesn't mean much if nobody finds it, and finding it doesn't mean much if the AI tools people use to search never mention it. So I added the skills to fix that too.
Here's everything I can help with.
Hand-built websites — no drag-and-drop templates, no cookie-cutter layouts. I design and build from scratch: something that loads fast, looks right on every device, and actually feels like your business. I work primarily in WordPress, built properly.
Before the website, there's the brand. Color, type, tone of voice, the way things feel. If you're starting from scratch or your brand has drifted away from what you meant it to be, I can help you find it again.
Search engine optimization done honestly. That means real research, content that answers real questions, and technical work that makes your site easy for Google to understand. No shortcuts. No promises of page one in a week. Just a clear plan and steady progress.
The new thing. When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity or Google's AI Overview a question your business could answer, does your name come up? It should. GEO is the work of making sure it does — structuring your content so AI search engines can find it, understand it, and actually cite it.
Not the hype version. The practical version — what tools are actually useful for your type of business, how to use them without losing your voice, and where they'll save you time versus where they'll waste it. I've done the testing so you don't have to.
Some clients need a site and a sendoff. Others want someone in their corner on a regular basis — updating, optimizing, writing, advising. I offer a small number of ongoing retainer spots for clients who want that. If you want to talk about what that looks like, just ask.
Everything I do starts the same way — with a conversation about your business, not a proposal about mine. I want to understand what you actually need before I tell you what I can offer.
That's a slower way to work. It's also a better one.
One thing is absolutely fine — and honestly, that's how most projects start. We might discover other areas worth looking at along the way, but there's no pressure to bundle services you don't need. Start where the problem is.
Most projects start with a proper conversation (not a brief — a conversation). From there I put together a scope and timeline that's specific to your situation. I don't use fixed packages because no two businesses are the same, and fixed packages pretend otherwise.
Yes — particularly right now. Traditional search traffic is declining as more people use AI tools to answer their questions. The businesses getting cited in those AI answers are the ones that structured their content for it. The window where this is an advantage (rather than just expected) is open. I'd take it seriously.
SEO gets you into Google's list of blue links. GEO gets you into the paragraph an AI writes when someone asks a question. Both matter. They share a foundation — quality content, clear structure, trustworthy expertise — but GEO adds a layer on top: FAQs, schema markup, statistics, and content structured as direct answers. I can help with both.
Honestly, it depends on the scope. A single-page build is very different from a full brand + site + SEO strategy. I work with small businesses at various budget levels — the contact form asks about budget and timeline so I can give you a realistic answer quickly. If you're not sure what you need, that's also a fine place to start the conversation.
Yes — I'm based in Nashville but work with clients everywhere. The conversation happens wherever you are.
There's no pitch waiting for you — just a conversation. Tell me what's going on with your business and we'll figure out together what makes sense.
